The Doctor

Dr. Robin Sapossnekis a graduate of Queens College of City University of New York (CUNY), and the State University of New York, College of Optometry where she received her doctorate in 1981. Dr. Sapossnek lives in Abington with her family.

Professional Experience:

May 2, 1994 to present: optometric office moved to Huntingdon Valley, PA general optometric care within a holistic, behavioral, developmental model patient base of all ages

spectacles and contact lenses fitted including CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy, a nonsurgical approach to treating myopia)

vision therapy practice expanded and includes therapy for:

  • vision related learning problems
  • strabismus and amblyopia
  • computer vision syndrome
  • post trauma vision syndrome

December 1990 to May 1994: Optometric practice at 7315 Oxford Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19111 general optometric practice, patient base of all ages contact lenses and vision therapy spectacles available through Simons Optical (within the same premises)

November 1990 to April 1992: Vision therapy consultant at the Optometric practice of Dr. Gary Itzenson in Lafayette Hills, PA and general care in various nursing homes in PA

January 1987 to November 1990: Purchases the Optometric practice of Dr. Robert Foedisch, at 5424 North Fifth Street, Philadelphia, PA 19120 general optometric care, strong emphasis on geriatric care, vision therapy introduced to this practice

November 1986 to December 1986: Staff optometrist at the ophthalmological practice of Dr. David Soll at 5001 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA

December 1985 to October 1986: Optometric consultant for the Vision Therapy Practices of Drs. Arthur Seiderman and Steve Marcus

July 1985 to May 1986: Optometrist at Eye Lab at 9500 Roosevelt Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA, extensive fitting of contact lenses

June 1984 to June 1985: Optometrist at Pearle Vision Center, Moorestown, NJ

February 1984 to June 1984: Free-lanced optometric per diem

February 1982 to February 1984: Optometrist at American Vision Center at Arnot Mall, Horseheads, NY
